Albeb received his undergraduate degree in Biology major in Microbiology at the University of the Philippines Los Baños and masters degree in Marine Science specializing in Marine Biology at the University of the Philippines Diliman. He started his PhD studies in 2020 at the University of Utah and finished in 2024. His dissertation involves the discovery and mechanisms of shipworm symbiont-derived antibiotics.
